Lake Como: for a wedding full of charm and emotion
Lake Como, with its unusual inverted Y shape, is the third largest lake in Italy and is located in the northern part of the Bel Paese, between the Po Valley and the Alps.
Thanks to its position, the panorama is truly unique: imagine observing a painting whose frame is represented by the Pre-Alps and on whose canvas coasts with gentle rounded and grassy slopes have been painted, alternating with toothed rocks and walls overlooking a lake with unmistakable and renowned blue and crystalline waters.
The extraordinary natural beauty of this scenery has made many artists fall in love: from the French writer Flaubert, to the musicians Gioacchino Rossini, Giuseppe Verdi and Vincenzo Bellini, who found inspiration here to write the famous opera "Norma". Alessandro Manzoni himself chose it as the place where a good part of the events of his first film, The Betrothed, took place.
But the charm and elegance of the most beautiful views of the lake with its traditional villages, prestigious villas and enchanting gardens have also "bewitched" VIPs and famous people such as George Clooney who established his summer home in Laglio, in a splendid eighteenth-century villa that he would have fallen in love with at first sight, especially for the breathtaking view that could be admired from its windows.
So, whether you decide to celebrate your wedding in the Town Hall or in the Church or in one of the enchanting locations overlooking the lake, what is certain is that you will not miss the poetic and dreamlike atmosphere of a wonderful panorama.
